SIDE NOTE:
The creation of the CCC leads to playing more games before the Zone games to determine who represents in the Western Regional.  Even though its only 4 games I collected all the scores and notice significant improvement by playing more games.  Here is the data broken down into two segments.  The first is Points Per Game after each teams first two games.  Which would of been their zone games.  Then PPG for the next four games that they played.

School Name     PPG 1st two games      PPG last 4 games     Pt Differential P/Game

OLOG            33                     49                 +16
BCA              23.5                   35                 + 11.5
BBH              46                     55.4               + 9.4
BCS              70.5                   60.2                - 10.3

I also notice that the teams rosters grew as more games were being played.  Fan involvement grew as faculty, parents  and the student body attended the games.

The Belize Basketball Federation Elects a New Executive!!! PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 15 September 2012 16:59
On Saturday September 8th, 2012, the Belize Basketball Federation (BBF) held a general meeting to elect a new executive committee to serve for another four years.  The meeting was held at the Belize Olympic Committee Offices in Belize City.
Paul Thompson was re-elected to serve as President along with Charles Ellis as Vice President, Julian Murillo as Secretary General and Frank Lord as Executive Member. Three new members were added to the team: Karim Juan as Vice President, Bernard Wagner as Finance Officer and Benedict Terry as an executive member.  Karim Juan is currently the national instructor for basketball referees and the Vice Principal of Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio.  Karim is pursuing a doctorate degree from the University of Florida. Bernard Wagner, a former BBF executive, was instrumental in launching the Belize Bank bulldogs program. He is the branch manager of the Belize Bank Market Square Branch. Benedict Terry, a recent graduate from the University of Southern Alabama and one of the first members of the University of Belize Black Jaguars team, is currently employed at the Central Bank of Belize.
The Association members present reiterated their support for the new executive and unanimously pledged their commitment to continue with the plans that the BBF developed and launched. These programs have given Belize championships and glory in the, international arena as was seen recently in the CODICADER games where Belize won gold medal and the U 15 and U 17 COCABA Championships where Belize placed second over the last 2 years. Currently, the BBF is continuing with programs to ensure that the triumphs that are presently being witnessed at the youth levels are achieved at the senior level.  The endorsement was witnessed and sanctioned by Mr. Patrick Henry, Sports Director of the National Sport Council and by Mr. Sonny Meighan, member of the Belize Olympic Committee.
